The Alpine School District has approved a new committee review process for “questionable” books.
Before Tuesday’s (9/27) board meeting, parents had a limited opportunity to weigh in on the issue of sexually explicit content in their children’s schools.
The Alpine School Board voted 5-2 to pass a policy to tweak existing policy and allow for a committee review process of questionable books. Parents had wanted an immediate removal of books deemed pornographic.
52 books are being reviewed.
